Financial Literacy Course for High-School-Age

The Investment Center at Community First Bank is offering a Financial Literacy Course for High School Students

This course is inspired by the writings of Warren Buffett and a team of Harvard Business School alumni, the course is designed to equip teenagers with a solid understanding of business concepts and give them a foundational knowledge of investment principles and is being offered at no cost. We, in the Investment Center, believe deeply in the need for financial literacy and helping better prepare our young people to be good financial stewards.

The course is made up of six sessions, and is primarily discussion-based, so students gain experience sharing their thoughts and critically thinking through complex concepts alongside their peers. There will be required reading between each session. The first session and final session will be in person, all other sessions will be held via zoom.

The course will run the following dates from 10:30-11:30 am – June 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27. June 10th and June 27th will be held at the Platteville Public Library and at Brewer Library in Richland Center. On June 27th there will be a certificate presentation and celebration.

We have a limited number of seats for this course. To register please email your registration to Jordan
